01Educational ideas, not project specifications
Our articles, illustrations, diagrams, and project ideas are intended for general information and education. They may simplify concepts or show illustrative arrangements rather than complete, tested, or installation-ready designs. They are not professional engineering, electrical, plumbing, building, health, or other specialist advice.
A description on this site is not a certification, approval, or assurance that a project is suitable for your circumstances. Materials, equipment, environmental conditions, and local requirements can affect both results and safety. Verify important information independently before making decisions.
02Put safety and local requirements first
DIY work can cause injury, fire, electric shock, property damage, contamination, or other serious harm. Electrical projects may involve hazardous voltage, stored energy, batteries, and equipment that must be correctly rated, protected, and installed. Do not attempt work beyond your training or experience.
Water-related projects require particular care. Water that looks clear or passes through a homemade device is not necessarily safe to drink. Collection, storage, filtration, treatment, and plumbing can introduce or fail to remove biological and chemical hazards. Do not treat an illustrative project as proof of potable-water safety.
Consult appropriately qualified professionals when needed, especially for electrical work, structural changes, pressurised systems, or anything affecting drinking water. Follow applicable local codes, permit requirements, manufacturer instructions, and appropriate safety procedures. Stop if conditions are unsafe or you are uncertain.
We make no promise of free energy, guaranteed energy savings, safe drinking water, or any particular performance. Examples and estimates are illustrative; real-world results may differ substantially.
03Responsible and permitted use
You may use the site for lawful educational purposes. Do not misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, impersonate others, or use it to infringe rights or facilitate harmful or unlawful conduct.
Do not use automated requests in a way that disrupts the site or places unreasonable demands on its infrastructure. You are responsible for your own actions, project decisions, and compliance with requirements that apply to you.

05Third-party links and resources
Links, references, and externally supplied resources are provided for convenience or context. We do not control third-party websites, products, services, or their availability, and a reference does not by itself constitute an endorsement or safety assessment.
Evaluate outside information independently. Your use of a third-party service is subject to that service’s terms and privacy practices.
06Availability and limitations of the content
We aim to make the site useful and readable, but information may contain errors, omissions, or outdated details. We may change, remove, or interrupt content or site features without guaranteeing continued availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its content are provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis, without warranties or guarantees of accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
07Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Clever Workshop is not liable for losses or damage arising from reliance on educational content, attempts to carry out projects, inability to use the site, or use of third-party resources. This includes indirect or consequential losses where exclusion is legally permitted.
These limitations apply only where allowed by law. They do not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or restrict mandatory consumer rights or other protections that apply to you.
